It was a big night for Ella Langley and Riley Green from the jump. The duo\u2019s retro radio hit, \u201cYou Look Like You Love Me,\u201d took home both single and song of the year at the 2025 Country Music Association Awards<\/a> Wednesday night.<\/p>\n \u201cThis song is the gift that keeps on giving,\u201d Langley said. \u201cHow cool is it that a song with talking verses wins song of the year,\u201d added Green.<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t just them celebrating at the 59th annual CMA Awards. Album of the year went to host Lainey Wilson<\/a> for \u201cWhirlwind\u201d \u2014<\/a> marking her second career win in the category.<\/p>\n \u201cMama, daddy, look! Check it out!\u201d she started her speech. \u201cThank y\u2019all so much.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson is also competing for the night\u2019s highest honor \u2014 CMA entertainer of the year \u2014 against Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen, last year\u2019s winner in the category<\/a>.<\/p>\n Brooks & Dunn<\/a> won vocal duo of the year, their 16th victory in the category. \u201cI heard earlier tonight, \u2018Man, y\u2019all ever get sick of this?\u2019\u201d Kix Brooks said in his acceptance speech. \u201cHell no!\u201d<\/p>\n The CMA Awards are being broadcast live on ABC and will be available to stream Thursday on Hulu.<\/p>\n Combs opened the show with a fiery rendition of his single \u201cBack in the Saddle,\u201d setting the stage for Wilson to launch into a spirited medley. She was joined by a star-studded crew of surprise collaborators, Little Big Town<\/a> and Keith Urban<\/a> among them.<\/p>\n Performances arrived fast and fierce from there: Moroney, Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, The Red Clay Strays, Stephen Wilson, Jr. and Kenny Chesney shined, one after another. Old Dominion performed on a small stage in the middle of the audience, working their way through a medley of \u201cBreak Up with Him,\u201d \u201cMemory Lane,\u201d \u201cOne Man Band,\u201d \u201cHotel Key\u201d and \u201cSnapback.\u201d<\/p>\n Zach Top, who performed his ode to six-strings, \u201cGuitar,\u201d early in the show, took home the trophy for new artist of the year. \u201cI can\u2019t remember if I was supposed to put my beer down first or not,\u201d he joked in his speech before taking a swig.
