Kevin Spacey<\/strong><\/a> said he has no permanent home and is \u201cliving in hotels\u201d eight years after his Hollywood career came to a halt following sexual misconduct allegations<\/a> against him.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the U.K.\u2019s Telegraph<\/em><\/a> newspaper on Wednesday, November 19, Spacey said he lost his home in Baltimore, Maryland, where he lived for 12 years, \u201cbecause the costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I\u2019ve had very little coming in and everything going out.\u201d<\/p>\n

In October 2017, actor Anthony Rapp<\/strong> accused Spacey<\/a>, 66, of making an unwanted sexual advance toward him in 1986, when Rapp was 14. Spacey was subsequently dropped from Netflix\u2019s House of Cards<\/em> and other projects. In 2022, the Oscar winner was found not liable in a $40 million sexual assault lawsuit brought against him by Rapp. The following year, Spacey was cleared by a jury of all charges<\/a> in a U.K. sexual assault trial related to allegations by four men.<\/p>\n

In Wednesday\u2019s interview with the Telegraph<\/em>, Spacey described his financial situation as \u201cnot great,\u201d adding, \u201cI\u2019m living in hotels, I\u2019m living in Airbnbs, I\u2019m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that\u2019s what I\u2019m attempting to explain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou get through it. In weird ways, I feel I\u2019m back to where I first started, which is I just went where the work was,\u201d he continued. \u201cEverything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I\u2019ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two-time Oscar winner expressed hope that he will one day turn his fortunes around by returning to Hollywood.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work,\u201d Spacey said. \u201cAnd that will happen in its right time. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission \u2013 by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese<\/strong> or Quentin Tarantino<\/strong> call [manager] Evan<\/strong> [Lowenstein<\/strong>] tomorrow, it will be over. I will be incredibly honored and delighted when that level of talent picks up the phone,\u201d he added elsewhere in the interview.<\/p>\n
