US Weekly<\/em><\/a>\u00a0for a cover story, Lainey says, “I\u2019m always working for the next thing, so hopefully sooner rather than later. I\u2019ve been writing a bunch.”<\/p>\n“It\u2019s fun to go to these different cities, look outside your window and be in a different place every day, and be able to take advantage of that and be creative in these different parts of the world,” she adds. “Everywhere you can imagine, we\u2019re writing a song about it.”<\/p>\n
In addition to\u00a0new music, Lainey’s agenda includes planning her wedding to her fianc\u00e9, Devlin “Duck” Hodges<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 she says they haven’t started yet.<\/p>\n“That\u2019s the problem,” she says. “No, it\u2019s funny! I\u2019ve been so busy this year that we\u2019re like, ‘We\u2019re gonna figure it out, for sure!’ He\u2019s such a good dude. He is my best friend. He\u2019s my biggest cheerleader. We lift each other up.”<\/p>\n
Lainey appears in\u00a0US Weekly’<\/em>s “Humankind” issue, and she discusses the lessons she learned from her family and her community about giving back, as well as her philanthropy.<\/p>\n\u201cKindness might be one of my superpowers,\u201d she says. \u201cKindness has definitely gotten me a lot further than the opposite.\u201d<\/p>\n
“I wish everybody could lead with love,” she continues. “If we were all aware of that and reminded of how important and powerful words are \u2014 even a pat on the back \u2014 I think we\u2019d all be leading with a little more kindness.”<\/p>\n
