Egypt Sherrod and husband Mike Jackson<\/a>, the HGTV stars of the popular series, \u201cMarried to Real Estate<\/a>,\u201d spoke in an Oct. 25 interview with People Magazine<\/a> about the show\u2019s cancellation after four seasons. <\/p>\n The reality show first made its debut in March 2025. <\/p>\n Per Jackson and Sherrod, the network wasn\u2019t too enthusiastic about filming Season 4. Not to mention that their production crew had been replaced that season as well. This caused major setbacks. <\/p>\n As a result, the arrival of the final season was later than expected. <\/p>\n This then caused confusion amongst fans, where they were unsure of the show\u2019s return after its third season. <\/p>\n \u201cFor folks to question, \u2018Are you coming back?\u2019 That\u2019s going to affect your ratings. So that mixed with everything else that was going on, it was like, \u2018What is happening right now?\u2019\u201d Jackson shared. <\/p>\n Another blow were the \u201cfalse articles\u201d that began circulating of the two splitting up. <\/p>\n \u201cFrom a fan standpoint, another monkey wrench in it all was false articles flying all over the place about us separating,\u201d Jackson said in the interview. \u201cWe were like, \u2018Where\u2019s this coming from? Because we\u2019re still deeply in love and having fun and traveling.\u2019 So you\u2019ve got all the exec changes, you don\u2019t know what time slot and then you\u2019ve got the fans reading articles that aren\u2019t true.\u201d<\/p>\n Moreover, though the pair said to People they were upset when finding out their show wasn\u2019t renewed this past summer, they were grateful for the unique opportunity on the network. <\/p>\n \u201cIt was an amazing roller coaster ride.
