Charli xcx<\/a> plays a pop star very much like herself in the teaser trailer for her new movie The Moment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A24<\/a> releases writer-director Aidan Zamiri<\/a>\u2019s feature in theaters nationwide Jan. 26, 2026. Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/a>, Rosanna Arquette<\/a>, Isaac Cole Powell<\/a>, Kate Berlant<\/a>, Rish Shah<\/a> and Jamie Demetriou<\/a> round out the cast. Rachel Sennott<\/a> and Kylie Jenner<\/a> also appear in the film.<\/p>\n

Based on an original idea from Charli xcx, The Moment<\/a> centers on a buzzy pop star dealing with the demands of stardom ahead of her first arena tour. Although the film is scripted, Charli xcx appears to play a version of herself, and signage featuring her real name and album title Brat<\/a> can be seen in the footage. Alas, the trailer does not convey much about the plot.<\/p>\n
