\u201890s fitness icon Susan Powter<\/strong> didn\u2019t find lasting love with men, so now she seeks companionship with women.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I\u2019m a huge lesbian. Total lesbian, great love affairs, many girlfriends, big fun,\u201d Powter, 67, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> published on Wednesday, November 19. \u201cBest fun ever!\u201d<\/p>\n

Powter, who is best known for her popular weight loss infomercial Stop the Insanity!<\/em>, was previously married twice. The former fitness queen tied the knot with ex Nic Villarreal<\/strong> in 1982, but the two divorced in 1988 after his alleged affair. The exes share two sons, Kiel and Damien.. Powter later wed Lincoln Apeland<\/strong> in 1989 before splitting in 1995. In 1998, Powter adopted son Gabriel.<\/p>\n

Nearly a decade after her second divorce, Powter publicly came out as a lesbian in 2004. While she is now living as the more authentic version of herself, a relationship isn\u2019t what she is seeking.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t date anymore, because that\u2019s annoying as crap,\u201d Powter told EW on Wednesday, adding that she has \u201cno interest in ever getting married again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Powter revealed her last relationship was \u201cyears ago\u201d as she prefers to live in solitude, referring to herself as a \u201chermit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like very large groups. I don\u2019t socialize, I don\u2019t have friend groups,\u201d she explained. \u201cI don\u2019t socialize with anyone. I see my children once in a while, they\u2019re adult men.\u201d<\/p>\n

Powter is back in the limelight following the release of her new documentary, Stop the Insanity: Finding Susan Powte<\/em>r<\/a>. In the doc, which was produced by Jamie Lee Curtis<\/strong>, Powter opened up about her struggles<\/a> on welfare following the loss of her wellness empire.<\/p>\n

Powter rose to fame by sharing her journey of being a mother who gained weight following a divorce, but went on to shed the pounds and subsequently created her fitness program. Following the success of the infomercial, Powter went on to write three best-selling books and have her own TV show. She claimed to have earned $200 million in profit during the height of her fame.<\/p>\n

While Powter was on the road to success, her empire crumbled in 1995. Due to a series of allegedly bad business deals and lawsuits, Powter was forced to declare bankruptcy.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t see one penny, where\u2019s it going?\u201d Powter says in her documentary. \u201cI never said, \u2018Show me the damn bank balance.\u2019 I should\u2019ve.\u201d<\/p>\n
