Law Bird bar owners dish on creating new cocktails for rotating menu<\/p>\n Annie Williams Pierce, co-owner of Law Bird bar in Columbus, Ohio, equates trying new and interesting cocktail recipes to getting bangs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/media-video><\/div>\n The Rambling House Music Bar at 310 E. Hudson St. announced that it will reopen under new ownership on Dec. 4, resuming its role as a music venue. “New owners Michelle and Tucker Bohm have joined The Rambling House family with the intention of keeping the loved and cherished parts of the venue the same,” said the announcement on the venue’s Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n Satisfy your hunger for food news.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Subscribe to Columbus Monthly’s weekly dining newsletter, Copy & Taste.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Former owner Geoff Wilcox announced his intention to sell the venue in June<\/a>, noting at the time they were “looking for people who love it as much as we do to invest alongside the Rambling House Music Bar team to buy the property and keep the dream alive.” In early September, the venue announced it would close Oct. 1<\/a>. At the time, it was still seeking a buyer.<\/p>\n The Instagram post announcing the reopening encourages bands interested in playing at the Rambling House\u2014including those whose performances were canceled during the closure\u2014to contact the space, and says that show calendars are forthcoming.<\/p>\n The affiliated Rambling House Soda Co.<\/a> has not been affected by the sale.<\/p>\n Dogs and their people have a new place to play in the Fifth By Northwest neighborhood. The Wag opened on Nov. 15 at 1330 Norton Ave., offering dogs indoor and outdoor play areas and humans a space to gather for cocktails, mocktails and more<\/a>. The venue has 10,000 square feet of indoor space\u2014some of which is devoted to pup-pampering\u2014and an acre of outdoor space. Humans can visit for free, but dogs need to pre-register and pay a membership fee that starts at $15 for a single-day pass. The Junto hotel at 77 Belle St. Downtown has a pop-up Santa Baby Holiday Bar<\/a> running through Jan. 3. Columbus Brewing Co.’s Tracksuit Taproom<\/a> at 2555 Harrison Drive will be decked out in holiday decor and offer several holiday beers on tap including, of course, Tracksuit Santa Spiced Holiday Ale. And the Worthington location of the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern<\/a> at 7800 Olentangy River Road has a retro holiday pop-up running through Dec. 31, including vintage decor, lights and special holiday menu items.<\/p>\n It’s not too early to start thinking about gifts, either.
