Following back-to-back press interviews, red carpets, and late-night TV appearances, “Wicked” star Ariana Grande<\/a> has contracted COVID-19.<\/p>\n The pop-star-turned-Hollywood darling shared on her Instagram Story Thursday, Nov. 20, that she had tested positive for coronavirus soon after her guest appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a>.”<\/p>\n “Moments before Covid,” she wrote, along with a screengrab from the Tuesday, Nov. 18 episode. USA TODAY has reached out to Grande’s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n The Oscar-nominated actress joins costar, Cynthia Erivo<\/a>, in falling ill at the end of the press tour for the new sequel film, “Wicked For Good<\/a>” (out in theaters Friday, Nov.<\/span> 20).<\/p>\n About Erivo, Universal Pictures said, per People<\/a> magazine, that the actress would no longer do press interviews at the New York premiere on Nov. 17 after losing her voice and “not feeling well.”<\/p>\n During Grande’s sitdown with Fallon, Grande promoted the fantasy musical movie by demonstrating her expertise in using a wand after playing Glinda the Good. “I have to find my footing,” she said before bending her knees and majestically twirling the wand with ease in front of an impressed yet frightened host.<\/p>\n While attending the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in Singapore<\/a> on Nov. 13, an Australian man was caught on video dashing and grabbing her when Erivo rushed to Grande’s defense and pushed him off.<\/p>\n The man, later identified as Johnson Wen<\/a>, tried to jump the barricades again before security pinned him down.
