Megan Moroney<\/strong>‘s new album won\u2019t be completely filled with sad songs for sad people.<\/p>\n

However, there may be parts that do. As the country singer put it, Cloud 9<\/em>\u2014set to be released Feb. 20, 2026\u2014draws from her own life experiences, including both the best and hardest parts of being in a relationship.<\/p>\n

“I literally write about my real life,” she exclusively told E! News Nov. 19 at the 2025 CMA Awards. “There will definitely be songs on the album where you’re trying to put the pieces together.”<\/p>\n

As to whether the album will be more focused on love or heartbreak? The “Tennessee Orange” <\/em>singer\u00a0shared, “A little bit of both.”<\/p>\n

And for Megan, who performed her single “6 Months Later” in a sparkly pink get-up at the award ceremony, that girly aesthetic behind the album is more than just a style choice.<\/p>\n

“I chose pink because I think there is a softness about this music that isn\u2019t in my other albums,” she told\u00a0Variety<\/em><\/a> in an interview published Nov. 19. “I think it\u2019s come from the confidence that I have now. It\u2019s about falling in love and falling out of love, but when you\u2019re truly confident, it\u2019s not the end of the world when it doesn\u2019t work out.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
