Netflix has renewed its collaboration with the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), running Nov. 20-28 in Goa, with a broad presence across WAVES Film Bazaar programming and festival showcases, including premieres.<\/p>\n
As part of this,\u00a0Netflix\u00a0will co-host IFFI\u2019s market component, which comprises the Knowledge Series, Tech Pavilion, WAVES Film Bazaar and a story pitching initiative to champion emerging voices in Indian entertainment.<\/p>\n
More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n As co-host of WAVES Film Bazaar, Netflix is conducting a three-day pitching forum where selected filmmakers and writers present projects directly to the streamer\u2019s content team. The initiative is positioned as a pipeline for emerging Indian storytellers, offering potential development pathways. This initiative provides emerging talent with direct access to decision-makers and potential development opportunities.<\/p>\n Netflix is also presenting some festival premieres under the International Showcase section which opens with \u201cLeft-Handed Girl,\u201d Taiwan\u2019s Oscar submission, directed by Shih-Ching Tsou and co-written with Sean Baker.<\/p>\n The Indian Title Gala closes with the Hindi language film \u201cRaat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders,\u201d premiering Nov. 27. Led by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, Honey Trehan\u2019s sequel expands the crime-thriller franchise and continues the story of Inspector Jatil Yadav.<\/p>\n During the festival\u2019s closing ceremony on Nov. 28, Netflix will present an exclusive preview of Hindi-language series \u201cMaamla Legal Hai\u201d Season 2, headlined by Ravi Kishen.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s Tech Pavilion highlights Netflix\u2019s accessibility features, with hands-on demonstrations available to delegates.
