The Kid LAROI<\/strong><\/a> is kicking off a new era and starting a lot of conversation about his lyrics once again.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old musician just announced his first studio album in two years, BEFORE I FORGET<\/em><\/strong>, out on January 9, 2026.<\/p>\n Along with the announcement, he just dropped a new single, called \u201cA PERFECT WORLD.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The song follows \u201cA Cold Play\u201d<\/a> released in September, which fans speculated to be a breakup track about ex Tate McRae<\/strong><\/a> following their split over the summer, to which she seemingly responded with her own track, \u201cTIT FOR TAT.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIn a perfect world we\u2019d have it all figured out \/ Baby, you would be my girl \/ And if they talk, let \u2018em talk, baby \/ I hate the way you love it when you hurt me \/ But we could stick it out and make it work, babe In a perfect world, yeah \/ \u2018Cause I\u2019m still here for what it\u2019s worth, baby,\u201d he sings on \u201cA PERFECT WORLD.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI put you on, I see you got some taste now \/ How\u2019d I become somebody that you hate now?\u201d<\/p>\n The Kid LAROI<\/strong> previously made a \u201clet them talk\u201d reference seemingly about Tate<\/strong> in another song called \u201cBABY I\u2019M BACK,\u201d released in 2024 while they were dating.<\/p>\n Tate<\/strong> used \u201clet them talk\u201d as an Instagram caption following his own post, which read \u201cI see them talk\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI told my baby, \u2018Let them talk,\u2019 that\u2019s the caption,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n Notably, the exes are releasing on the same day: Tate<\/strong> is about to drop the deluxe edition of her album So Close to What<\/em> on Friday (November 21), including a song that fans think is about her reaction to the split.<\/a><\/p>\n
