Meghan Markle<\/a> was mocked by royal fans after her latest photoshoot poses<\/a> appeared to strike a resemblance to some of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana\u2019s, most iconic photos. The Duchess of Sussex gave a new interview to Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/a> and did a photoshoot with them for the December 2025\/January 2026 issue.<\/p>\n Meghan was seen in various outfits, from a red dress to a silk one, and a black and black and white ensemble. But some fans online found the photos were eerily similar to snaps of Diana.<\/p>\n In one of the pictures, Meghan is seen sitting barefoot on the floor, crossing her legs while holding her fingers and looking at the camera.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n A very similar photo was taken by celebrity photographer Patrick Demarchelier in 1991, when he worked with the late Princess of Wales for Vogue\u2019s December issue of that year.<\/p>\n Other shots from the photoshoot, including her close-up portrait, appear to bear similarities, according to fans.<\/p>\n Another shot that sparked interest was Meghan\u2019s red ensemble by Balenciaga, which fans said is similar to Princess Diana\u2019s other photoshoot for Vogue, published in 1997 to mark her death.<\/p>\n Diana wore a striking red gown by Valentino and was photographed by Mr Demarchelier again in 1994, however, the photos were used in 1997 for the tribute issue.<\/p>\n Another one of Meghan\u2019s outfits for the Harper\u2019s Bazaar shoot was a silk champagne gown, which, according to fans, closely resembled one Diana wore for her iconic portraits shot by David Bailey.<\/p>\n One user wrote on X: \u201cI hypothesise this is exactly what she wanted: being linked to Harry’s late mother! I bet she sits for hours going through her photographs!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Another one joked: \u201cBecause she will never get the Vogue Cover [like Diana] she will have all the remaining magazines then?\u201d<\/p>\n A third one said: \u201cShe doesn\u2019t hold a candle to Diana & never will!\u201d<\/p>\n A fourth person commented: \u201cWow scary stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, a fifth said: \u201cHow long before she copies the hairstyle?
