Kevin Spacey<\/a> announced that he\u2019s homeless in a new interview this week.<\/p>\n Speaking to The Telegraph<\/a> in a piece published on Nov. 19, the two-time Oscar-winning actor claims his legal costs stemming from multiple sexual assault trials have sent him into economic hardship.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m living in hotels, I\u2019m living in Airbnbs<\/a>,\u201d Spacey told <\/i>the outlet. \u201cI\u2019m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that\u2019s what I\u2019m attempting to explain\u2026 The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I\u2019ve had very little coming in and everything going out.\u201d<\/p>\n Spacey became a prominent figure in the public discourse around the #MeToo movement<\/a> after actor Anthony Rapp<\/a> accused him in 2017 of a sexual advance in 1986, when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 27. <\/p>\n A New York jury found in 2022 that he did not molest actor Anthony Rapp. The following year, a U.K. court found Spacey not guilty of nine sexual assault charges from four complainants. Other charges and lawsuits have been dropped, and Spacey has denied all allegations.<\/p>\n Despite his legal victories, Spacey\u2019s film career collapsed following the allegations. He told <\/i>the outlet he believes a return to acting depends on approval from a respected industry figure.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd that will happen in its right time. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission \u2014 by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority.\u201d<\/p>\n Spacey suggested directors Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino could provide that endorsement, telling The Telegraph, \u201cSo, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call [my manager] tomorrow, it will be over.\u201d<\/p>\n Some actors have publicly supported Spacey\u2019s return to Hollywood.
