The National Flamenco Art Contest of C\u00f3rdoba (CNAF) has announced the winners of its 24th edition at the Gran Teatro de C\u00f3rdoba, naming new champions in cante (song), baile (dance), guitar<\/a> and the new Prize for Flamenco Instrumentalists.<\/p>\n

The jury, represented by singer and spokesperson David Pino, director of the Flamencology Chair at the University of C\u00f3rdoba, delivered its decision after the final performances in the Prize Option Phase.<\/p>\n

In the guitar category, the winner is \u00c1ngel Flores<\/strong>, accompanied on vocals by Mat\u00edas L\u00f3pez \u201cEl Mati.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the cante category, the prize goes to Sara Jim\u00e9nez Valverde<\/strong>, known artistically as Sara Denez<\/strong>, accompanied on guitar by Jos\u00e9 Tom\u00e1s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The baile award goes to Cristina Soler Valero<\/strong>, \u201cCristina Soler<\/strong>,\u201d who performed with guitarist Juan Campallo,<\/strong> singer Jonathan Reyes<\/strong> and palmas by Roberto Ja\u00e9n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The new Prize for Flamenco Instrumentalists recognizes electric bassist Juan Fernando P\u00e9rez Feria<\/strong>, \u201cJuanfe P\u00e9rez<\/strong><\/strong>,\u201d who performed with percussionist Kike Terr\u00f3n<\/strong>, the voice of Alicia Morales<\/strong> and palmas by Alberto Rodr\u00edguez Parraguilla<\/strong> and Richard Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pino highlighted on behalf of the jury both the artistic level of this year\u2019s contestants and the role of C\u00f3rdoba in promoting emerging flamenco talents across Spain.<\/p>\n

The winners will perform on 22 November at the Gran Teatro de C\u00f3rdoba during the Awards Gala, hosted by journalist Juan Luis Cano. Tickets are available at teatrocordoba.es<\/a>, at the C\u00f3rdoba Theaters box offices during regular hours, and through the IMAE \u2013 Teatros de C\u00f3rdoba app for iOS and Android.<\/p>\n
