The \u201cJungle Cruise<\/a>\u201d sequel is likely dead, at least according to stars Dwayne Johnson<\/a> and Emily Blunt<\/a>. The duo headlined Disney\u2019s 2021 adventure movie about a riverboat captain who guides a scientist and her brother on a mission to find the Tree of Life. The film was inspired by the Disney theme park ride, similar to \u201cPirates of the Caribbean<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked by Entertainment Weekly<\/a> about whether or not the sequel remains on deck, Johnson<\/a> answered: \u201cI don\u2019t think so.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when Disney came under new leadership, they just shifted coming out of Covid,\u201d the actor continued. \u201cCovid shifted our business in a lot of ways. I think they looked at that property and thought, \u2018We did it once, not sure if we should revisit it again.\u2019 Despite whether or not our chemistry was great.\u201d<\/p>\n
