It was revealed on Thursday, November 20, that the upcoming fourth season will be the farewell for the Landry family.<\/p>\n \u201cFans of\u00a0The Way Home<\/em> have enthusiastically watched and rewatched every episode since the first pond jump of season 1 as they\u2019ve tried to piece together the brilliant puzzle Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke and Marly Reed expertly crafted,\u201d Samantha DiPippo, SVP of programming at Hallmark Media, said in a statement to People. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful to our talented cast led by Andie, Chyler, Evan and Sadie, as well as our amazing writers and crew who have worked so hard on this show.\u201d<\/p>\n The Season 3 finale was reveal after reveal after reveal: Elliot was the baby in the basket, and his mother time traveled via the pond with a Landry; Colton (Jefferson Brown) found out Alice is his granddaughter and knew who Kat was when he died; Casey (Vaughan Murrae) isn\u2019t Alice\u2019s kid from the future; and Jacob left and Sam<\/em>\u00a0(Rob Stewart<\/a>) stood at the pond as he told Del it will be okay.<\/p>\n Peter Stranks \/ Hallmark Media<\/p>\n<\/div>\n It\u2019s safe to say that MacDowell, Leigh, Laflamme-Snow, and Williams will be back for the fourth season, but beyond them, it\u2019s hard to say since it would depend on which times are visited. Macpherson will likely return as Jacob, though there is a question of when and where he is. Murrae has to be back as Casey, since while we know they use the pond to time travel<\/a>, we don\u2019t know who they are exactly to the Landrys in the present just yet. And\u00a0Stewart has to return as Sam, Del\u2019s love interest, to answer the questions the finale set up about him.<\/p>\n That\u2019s to be determined, but it feels safe to assume that Kat and Alice will continue to use the pond to time travel and the latter will visit a significant point in either her mother or grandmother\u2019s past.<\/p>\n At San Diego Comic-Con<\/a> in July 2025, Leigh revealed Kat will head to 1925<\/a>, where a riddle from last season will play out.<\/p>\n It sure sounds like it!
