Warner CEO David Zaslav \u201cwas said to be enthusiastic about a potential bid from Netflix,\u201d which notably pledged to \u201ccontinue theatrical releases for movies from Warner Bros. Discovery,\u201d but Paramount\u2019s new chief David Ellison has \u201ccultivated a relationship\u201d with President Donald Trump, and \u201cany bidder would need approval from federal regulators.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Any successful offer would represent a \u201csignificant consolidation in the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/theweek.com\/media\/bari-weiss-cbs-news-change-politics-audence\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/theweek.com\/media\/bari-weiss-cbs-news-change-politics-audence\">media industry<\/a>,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/media-telecom\/paramount-comcast-netflix-submit-bids-warner-bros-discovery-nyt-reports-2025-11-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/media-telecom\/paramount-comcast-netflix-submit-bids-warner-bros-discovery-nyt-reports-2025-11-20\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\">Reuters<\/a> said.
