Hilary Duff<\/strong><\/a> is teasing more new music after dropping her first new single in over a decade.<\/p>\n

Duff, 38, announced on Friday, November 21, that her latest full-length album, Luck \u2026 Or Something<\/em> will arrive on February 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,\u201d Duff said in a press release announcing the LP. \u201cThe album title is my way of answering that question. It\u2019s luck, but there\u2019s also a lot of weight in the \u2018 \u2026 or something.\u2019 Many of the things I\u2019ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that\u2019s what\u2019s shaped me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luck \u2026 Or Something<\/em> will be Duff\u2019s first new album in more than a decade following Breathe In. Breathe Out.<\/em>, which dropped in June 2015. The news comes weeks after the former Disney Channel star teased<\/a> her return to music with the single \u201cMature\u201d<\/a> and its accompanying music video.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt took Hilary Duff a decade to release new music \u2014 and she had a clear reason for her return to the industry. \u201cIt was always going to happen. There\u2019s no way that [music] was not going to be part of my story,\u201d Duff, 38, said on the Wednesday, November 5, episode of the \u201cTherapuss\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201c\u2018Mature\u2019 is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self,\u201d Duff explained in another press release on November 6. \u201cThe two of us are reflecting on a past experience and sending love to each other. It\u2019s a chuckle, a wink and a sense of being grateful that we are sure-footed in where we landed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Younger<\/em> alum later revealed that the song was about a \u201cbrief experience\u201d<\/a> with an ex that happened \u201ca long, long time ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not totally autobiographical,\u201d she told Vogue<\/em> of the track. \u201cI took a few artistic liberties just to make the song work structurally, but the gist is the gist.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI was looking back on this relationship and thinking about whether this guy had a habit of dating younger women or whether I was \u2018special.\u2019 The whole experience was super therapeutic to write about, but being so vulnerable through your music can be really scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duff cowrote \u201cMature\u201d with her singer-songwriter husband, Matthew Koma<\/strong>, and Madison Love<\/strong>. She and Koma, 38, share daughters Banks, 7, Mae, 4, and Townes, 18 months. She also shares son Luca, 13, with ex-husband Mike Comrie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
