They are, their bio says, \u201ca musical force of sultry alt pop, dark synth, dance and rock sounds, centered around exploring the many aspects of love.\u201d Silberman\u2019s sweet, expressive vocals shine throughout, especially on the sultry pop brilliance of \u201cCrazy Love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a duo, LOVECOLOR works beautifully, a creative force that sees the pair bounce off each other playfully, while always making the song the priority. While these instrumental pieces all clock in at close to-or-over 10 minutes, the classical electro-funk opuses never outstay their welcome.<\/p>\n<p>There are are elements of electronic pioneers Tangerine Dream, Kraftwork, and Jean-Michel Jarre at play, as Dilemma takes us on a journey through tracks like \u201cRiviera,\u201d \u201cAbyssinian,\u201d and \u201cInnuendo.\u201d Any one of them could be a film or TV score, as Dilemma takes us through a full range of emotions without uttering a single word.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1620\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/JessJocoy-credit_Sam-Wiseman3-1620x1080.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-153251\" style=\"width:315px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Jess Jocoy . . . 8.6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Web: <\/strong><em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jessjocoy.com\/\">jessjocoy.com<\/a><\/em><br \/><strong>Style: <\/strong><em>Country, Folk<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nashville\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/new-music-critique-jess-jocoy\/\">Jess Jocoy<\/a> reminds us what country music is meant to feel like\u2014authentic, soulful, and grounded in story. On \u201cCul-de-Sac Kid,\u201d she sings, \u201cI have to believe country needs a country song from a cul-de-sac kid like me,\u201d and she\u2019s absolutely right. Her vocals carry lived-in wisdom and her lyrics resonate with honesty and heart. Tracks like \u201cYou Sure Showed Me\u201d and \u201cI Could Live On That Alone\u201d showcase a natural twang and folky nuance, making every note feel intentional. There\u2019s a country element to the indie rock that nods at artists such as Maria McKee. Or perhaps because of it. There\u2019s a chant-like quality and a magnificent drone to songs like \u201cThree Died\u201d and \u201cBald King of the Old World\u201d that is both beautiful and horrifying, like a Lynch movie (RIP).<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s utterly addictive. When the discomfort is amped up, it\u2019s impossible not to feel drawn in. Meanwhile, Drew Johnson\u2019s voice, in harmony with his bandmates, is quite hypnotic. Like the Arizona desert, it\u2019s all both bleak and gorgeous.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1620\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/NMC-LipsSpeakLouder-1620x1080.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-153256\" style=\"width:334px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Lips Speak Louder. . . 8.4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Web: <\/strong><em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/lipsspeaklouder.com\/\">lipsspeaklouder.com<\/a><\/em><br \/><strong>Style:<\/strong><em> Alt-Rock<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nashville-based rock duo <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/new-music-critique-lips-speak-louder\/\">Lips Speak Louder<\/a> have found the perfect balance of hard rock crunch and power-pop melody. It&#8217;s the blend of sugar and spice, the broken glass in the ice-cream, that makes the pair\u2019s music so utterly enjoyable. There are elements of Aimee Mann\/\u2019Til Tuesday in there, some Bangles, some Heart. But it\u2019s the strong dashes of themselves (Rachel Brandsness and Angela Lese) in there that makes it all so special. He\u2019s been compared to the likes of Meshell Ndegeocello, Tracy Chapman, and Amos Lee, and it\u2019s clear when listening to the songs he submitted\u2014\u201cGetting Tired of You,\u201d \u201cTell \u2018Em,&#8221; and \u201cBe Around No More\u201d\u2014that his take on the genre is as real as real can be. His voice is rich and quite beautiful, his lyrics emotive, and his songs hit the spot. Songs such as \u201cPraying Mantis\u201d and \u201cCurious Critter\u201d are overflowing with heartfelt introspection. That, blended with her talent for recognizing effective melody plus her frankly gorgeous voice make for a wonderful listening experience. \u201cI treat each waking moment as \u2018studio time,\u2019 drawing inspiration for my artwork from the intricacies held within subjectively mundane moments,\u201d she says. Traditional Nigerian sounds meet head-on with modern hip-hop. The beats are impeccable, the production sublime, and the lyrics on-point. A song like \u201cNo Reason\u201d is an uncompromising, rapid-fire, aggressive rap beast, while \u201cDemons\u201d is an introspective gem that showcases just how dynamic and diverse Erittage\u2019s sound can be.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/joshuajosue_pressshot-720x1080.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-153268\" style=\"width:235px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Joshua Josu\u00e9 . . . <\/strong><strong>8.4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Web: <\/strong><em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.joshuajosuemusic.com\/\">joshuajosuemusic.com<\/a><\/em><br \/><strong>Style: <\/strong><em>Americana, Chicano-Rock<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s so much warmth emanating from the music of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/new-music-critique-joshua-josue\/\">Joshua Josu\u00e9<\/a> that one could practically use it as a heat source during the winter months. His blend of traditional Chicano sounds, Americana and rock results in something that sounds like Tom Petty fronting Los Lobos. Nothing wrong with that, especially when we get a song as earthy, heartfelt and well-executed as \u201cLa Chica Me Cant\u00f3.\u201d The mix of Spanish and English is extremely welcome, and the songs are memorable enough that it doesn\u2019t matter if you don\u2019t understand either language. On his website, we see the words \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicconnection.com\/new-music-critique-jake-worden\/\">Jake Worden<\/a>\u201d in a scary metal font, and we\u2019re here for it. The music is superb; grandiose and overblown in all of the right ways, Worden\u2019s super-deep voice has a Pete Steele (Type O Negative) croak, lending a gothic-metal edge to the proceedings that recalls Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride, as well as Type O.
