The stand-up special was filmed at the London Palladium this year, focusing on the comedian, writer and actor\u2019s own mortality through a \u201cdarkly funny\u201d filter that looks into his life, death and the state of the world. The topic is a common one for Gervais, who focused on it in Netflix comedy series After Life.<\/p>\n

It has broken box office records in numerous European territories<\/p>\n \u201cI think Mortality is my most honest and confessional show so far and also my favourite tour,\u201d said the five-time Golden Globe host. \u201cI still can\u2019t believe what a privilege it is to fly around the world making people laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n Gervais, best known for BBC series The Office, has established himself as one of the world\u2019s top big-arena stand-ups through Mortality and previous shows Humanity,\u00a0Supernature and\u00a0Armageddon, which won a Golden Globe.
