Donald Trump<\/a> met with the mayor-elect of New York<\/a> City, Zohran Mamdani, at the White House on November 21. Known for their differing political views, Mamdani said that his team reached out to Trump to discuss what’s best for the city of New York and planned to address affordability. He said in a press conference the day before the meeting, “I have many disagreements with the president, and I believe that we should be relentless and pursue all avenues and all meetings that could make our city affordable for every single New Yorker.<\/p>\n “I intend to make it clear to President Trump that I will work with him on any agenda<\/a> that benefits New Yorkers,” Mamdani continued.<\/p>\n Before their meeting, Fox News hosts were slamming the mayor for his previous sentiments, with a few stemming from what he has said about Trump.<\/p>\n Fans were amused by the switch in content once Trump took the screen with his praise. During the Friday meeting, the president began, “We just had a great meeting, a really good, very productive meeting. We have one thing in common. We want this city of ours that we love to do very well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He went on to applaud the mayor on his “incredible race.” Trump said, “I wanted to congratulate the mayor. He really ran an incredible race against a lot of smart people, starting with the early primaries against some very tough people, very smart people. He beat them and he beat them easily.<\/p>\n “I congratulated him and we talked about some things,” he added. “I think you\u2019re going to have hopefully a really great mayor.<\/p>\n “The better he does, the happier I am. There is no difference in party. There is no difference in anything.<\/p>\n “We\u2019re going to be helping him to make everybody\u2019s dream come true: having a strong and very safe New York,” he concluded.<\/p>\n After his introduction, fans ran to X<\/a> with their reactions, with one saying, “Prior to the start of this meeting, Fox News was running an entire segment on the dangers of Mamdani.
