BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT<\/a>) \u2014 A junior at the Alabama School of Fine Arts will be featured in an upcoming episode of an NPR program showcasing exceptional young musicians from across the country.<\/p>\n Henry Hewitt will appear on a forthcoming installment of \u201cFrom the Top<\/a>\u201d on NPR sometime next year. Originally from Mobile, Hewitt began playing piano when he was 6 six years old and has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of the Winner\u2019s Recital in 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cHenry\u2019s artistry, dedication, and stunning musicianship have earned him a place among the top young performers in the country, and we couldn\u2019t be more proud,\u201d the school stated on its Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n Early in his performing career, Hewitt studied with Robert Holm, professor of music at the University of South Alabama.
