Rylee Arnold<\/a> is speaking out after rumors spread online that she will be dropped from the Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>\u2018 Season 35 pro lineup.<\/p>\n Last month, a source claimed to The U.S. Sun<\/a> that Arnold and Season 34 newcomer Jan Ravnik<\/a> were on the \u201cchopping block\u201d and had been instructed to step up their game with teaching their respective celebrity contestants, Scott Hoying<\/a> and Jen Affleck<\/a>.<\/p>\n Former DWTS<\/em> pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy<\/a> shared similar critiques<\/a> to the outlet\u2019s source, stating on The Penthouse with Peta podcast<\/a> last month that he thought Hoying was \u201ccompletely undertaught\u201d during his time on DWTS, which led to his and Arnold\u2019s elimination in Week 6.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe that this is a matter of experience for Rylee to understand that, in this case, he needed her to be facing him, looking at him, and making him learn and making him repeat and place his hands,\u201d Chmerkovskiy stated. \u201cRylee, where she comes from, knows what cleaning means. So, they didn\u2019t have time to clean, then you spend too much time over-choreographing the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n Arnold brought up the criticism during the Wednesday, November 19, episode of Julianne Hough<\/a>\u2018s The Morning After (Show)<\/em> podcast<\/a>. \u201cI definitely feel pressure. I think every single dance, I\u2019m like, \u2018This has to be good,\u2019 and I feel like I have to present myself,\u201d she shared. \u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of just things this year, people saying that I\u2019m not coming back next season, and I\u2019m not gonna be asked back, or people saying that I don\u2019t know how to teach or I don\u2019t know how to do these things. I think I\u2019m trying to just understand that that\u2019s just noise.\u201d<\/p>\n Disney\/Eric McCandless<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Arnold noted that she and her fellow DWTS<\/em> pros don\u2019t know if they will be asked back for new seasons until the summertime. \u201cI would absolutely love to do another season, if not a bunch of more seasons in my life, if they want me there,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd so, I think hearing that noise from sources that probably aren\u2019t even true is super, super hard and was super hard on me this season.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the rumors, Arnold said she is working on giving herself grace. \u201cThere are so many pros that have been here for way longer than I have, and of course, they know more than I do. Of course, they have way more experience than I have, which is so normal,\u201d she told Hough. \u201cAnd I think just understanding that not comparing myself, either, and just staying in my lane, doing the very best I can, and I think that\u2019s the most important part.\u201d<\/p>\n Hough was able to relate to Arnold\u2019s struggles, as she herself joined DWTS<\/em> as a pro at a young age. Hough was 18 when she made her debut on the ABC series for Season 4 in 2007. Arnold was also 18 when she became a DWTS<\/em> pro for Season 32 in 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cComing from someone who really sees you, you are so talented,\u201d Hough gushed. \u201cYou are gifted. You are a great choreographer, and you deserve to be on this show. And they are very lucky to have you.\u201d<\/p>\n Thanking Hough, Arnold went on to add, \u201cI just always try to remember that I am living a dream that I\u2019ve had since I was a little girl, and I\u2019m so grateful that I\u2019m in the position that I\u2019m in. And just to remember that that\u2019s what matters, and my joy and how I go through this season is everything to me. And I\u2019m gonna look back one day, and I\u2019m not gonna focus on what other people have said.
