Traditionally, the event has been backed by major fashion houses, including last year\u2019s event, which Louis Vuitton sponsored. The announcement of Bezos\u2019 partnership drew immediate backlash on social media. The Met\u2019s official Instagram account revealed the sponsorship and this year\u2019s theme on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cCelebrate fashion as an art form this spring at The Met! Opening May 10, 2026, \u2018Costume Art\u2019 is The Costume Institute\u2019s annual exhibition,\u201d <\/span>the post reads,<\/span><\/a> accompanied by a video featuring the Winged Victory of Samothrace statue and previewing the upcoming fashion showcase. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n At the end of the clip, the couple\u2019s names appeared.
