Dolly Parton\u2019s health struggles across the second half of 2025 have been well-documented, but the singer has not shared a great deal of information about what she has gone through.<\/p>\n
She did, however, share a bit of an update on Wednesday. The 79-year-old country music legend was unable to attend a ceremony honoring her and her Dollywood theme park at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Orlando on Monday. <\/p>\n
She did send in a video, though.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, hey there it\u2019s Dolly, and I sure wish I could be with you in person today,\u201d a very health looking Parton said in the clip. <\/b><\/a>\u201cBut you probably heard that I\u2019ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while, and I\u2019m truly sorry I can\u2019t be there. But I sure wanted to take the chance to say thank you for this incredible honor.\u201d<\/p>\n Her appearance comes just days after People Magazine reported that her health was improving. <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cDolly is getting better every day,\u201d the outlet said a \u201csource close to Parton\u201d said.<\/p>\n \u201cShe is at home taking care of herself while many friends and family visit her,\u201d the source added. \u201cIn true Dolly spirit she has already started decorating for the holidays \u2014 her favorite time of year.\u201d<\/p>\n Parton addressed fans about what was going on when she announced on social media in late September that she was postponing the Las Vegas shows.<\/p>\n \u201cI want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,\u201d Parton wrote in a statement shared to her X page. \u201cAs many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it\u2019s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I\u2019ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show read, as they say.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd don\u2019t worry about me quittin\u2019 the business because God hasn\u2019t said anything about stopping yet,\u201d she added. \u201cBut I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n Parton also cancelled an appearance at Dollywood earlier this year. In a video that she shared explaining why she wasn\u2019t able to make it, she said, \u201cI had a little problem.
