Social media erupted as the first ball of the Ashes series was bowled, with predictions and excited updates from celebrities, athletes and fans enjoying the electric opening-day atmosphere at Optus Stadium.<\/p>\n

England talk show host Piers Morgan wasted no time declaring his confidence in the visitors, taking to X early on Friday to announce his bold prediction.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ashes is upon us,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cEngland has a better team, a better captain and better management. The urn is coming home, and I genuinely think we\u2019ll beat Australia either 4-0 or 5-0.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo mercy \u2014 destroy!\u201d Morgan said.<\/p>\n
