<\/p>\n
Daniel Goddard<\/a> wrapped up his stint as Prof. Henry Dalton on General Hospital<\/a><\/em> this week. Some performers exit their soaps with a whimper. Goddard went out with a bang that was both figurative, and, unfortunately, literal as Henry was murdered by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota<\/a>).<\/p>\n Goddard finally got to share some screentime with Genie Francis<\/a> (Laura) as Henry had, shall we say, \u201cembellished\u201d the \u201cdamage\u201d done to his lab by trespasser Rocco (Finn Carr), who is Laura\u2019s grandson. (Fans of The Young and the Restless<\/a><\/em> know that Francis and Goddard played mother and son, Genevieve and Cane, respectively, in Genoa City.)<\/p>\n Raves to Francis are also due as Laura lambasted Dalton for his lies that could have permanently affected Rocco\u2019s future. Goddard came in strong as Henry felt confident that he could manipulate the situation to his advantage. Slowly, Goddard let Henry\u2019s fa\u00e7ade crack a bit. He played Henry fully aware that his confrontation with Port Charles\u2019s mayor was being recorded and that Laura was not going to rest until Dalton came clean.<\/p>\n Henry never had a lot of friends in town, so when Laura assured him that he\u2019d face the wrath of not only her and her family, but also the Quartermaines, we saw Goddard play Henry as less than confident that his framing Rocco was going to work.<\/p>\n
