Donald Glover has revealed that he suffered a stroke in 2024. He shared the news on Saturday while performing at Camp Flog Gnaw at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
He said he was in the midst of his New World Tour and was \u201chaving lots of fun,\u201d but then, \u201cI had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn\u2019t really see well. So when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital, and the doctor was like, \u2018You had a stroke,\u2019\u201d Glover told the audience last night, as fan-captured footage from the livestream shows. \u201cAnd the first thing I thought was like, \u2018Oh, like, here I am still copying Jamie Foxx.\u2019 That\u2019s really like the second thing. The first thing was like, \u2018I\u2019m letting everybody down.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

So, I had this surgery, and then I had to have another surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n The health challenges, however, led to an added appreciation for embracing the time one has, and Glover shared this perspective with the crowd. \u201cSo, you know they say \u2026 everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one. You got one life, guys,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cYou should be living your life how you want.\u201d<\/p>\n In September of last year, Glover was forced to postpone the rest of his Childish Gambino tour to \u201cfocus on my health,\u201d the rapper announced<\/a> at the time, and in October 2024 he said he was undergoing surgery<\/a> for an unspecified ailment and canceled the rest of his tour.
