CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5\/KUSI) \u2014 Multi-platinum recording artist Jack Johnson and his band will perform coast-to-coast next year, stopping in San Diego in October.<\/p>\n
San Diegans can catch Johnson\u2019s \u201cSURFILMUSIC Tour,\u201d a 43-date North American tour, at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (NICUA) on Oct. 9, 2026.<\/p>\n
This is one of the six California stops of the tour \u2014 all part of leg three. It will also stop in Berkely on Oct. 1, Santa Barbara on Oct. 3 and 4 and Los Angeles on Oct. 10 and 11.<\/p>\n
The \u201cSURFILMUSIC Tour\u201d marks Johnson\u2019s first return to the road since his 2022 \u201cMeet the Moonlight\u201d tour, when he also performed at NICUA. However, he played a surprise show in September at Breakers Caf\u00e9, Bar & Grill in Encinitas, following the Solento Surf Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n Doja Cat\u2019s workd tour includes San Diego stop <\/a><\/p>\n Johnson recently released a new single, \u201cHold On To The Light<\/a>,\u201d featuring Hermanos Guti\u00e9rrez, offering an early glimpse into the anticipated \u201cSURFILMUSICsoundtrack.\u201d<\/p>\n Their collaboration will extend on to the stage. Guti\u00e9rrez will be opening for Johnson on legs one and three, and longtime friend G. Love will also join as a guest for leg three.<\/p>\n \u201cSURFILMUSICsoundtrack\u201d was made for \u201cSURFILMUSIC,\u201d a documentary about Johnson\u2019s evolution from surfer to filmmaker to musician, which is set to debut next year.<\/p>\n The film celebrates the community that shaped Johnson\u2019s path, featuring many of the well-known surfers who appeared in his original films, \u201cThicker Than Water\u201d and\u00a0\u201cThe September Sessions\u201d, that ultimately launched his music career.<\/p>\n Watch the first trailer\u00a0here<\/a>.
