Wicked: For Good<\/a> did good business at the box office this weekend, opening with $150 million.<\/p>\n

The second act of 2024\u2019s Wicked broke the previous film\u2019s record for biggest debut of a Broadway adaptation of all time, according to Variety<\/a>. Wicked brought in $112.5 million in its debut weekend last year.<\/p>\n

The film, starring Cynthia Erivo<\/strong> and Ariana Grande<\/strong>, is also this year\u2019s second-biggest opening behind A Minecraft Movie, which debuted with $162 million back in April.<\/p>\n

The week\u2019s two other new releases, the Brendan Fraser<\/strong>-starring Rental Family and the action thriller Sisu: Road to Revenge, opened at numbers\u00a0five\u00a0and six, respectively. Rental Family had a $3.3 million haul, while Sisu took in $2.6 million<\/p>\n

Here are the top 10 films at the box office:<\/p>\n

2. Now You See Me: Now You Don\u2019t \u2013 $9.1 million
3. Predator: Badlands \u2013 $6.25 million
4. The Running Man \u2013 $5.8 million

7. Regretting You \u2013 $1.52 million
8. Nuremberg \u2013 $1.23 million
9. Black Phone 2 \u2013 $1 million
10. Sarah\u2019s Oil \u2013 $771,542<\/p>\n
