It\u2019s the end of an era for \u201880s rock. After more than 50 years in music, David Coverdale<\/a><\/strong> has officially retired, but not before releasing his final Whitesnake music video.<\/p>\n Fans can enjoy a new take on \u201cForevermore,\u201d the title track from the rock band\u2019s 2011 record, which is soon to be re-released. The song, produced by Coverdale, incorporates Hook City Strings, whose orchestral arrangement turns the rock anthem into an emotional journey.<\/p>\n \u201cLadies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls, Brothers & Sisters of the SNAKE\u2026This is it!!! The last & final video from Whitesnake!!!!\u201d the band announced on social media.<\/p>\n The video, directed by Payton Murphy<\/strong>, shows Coverdale and Hook City Strings performing in a white-draped studio. Photos of Coverdale and those closest to him are featured throughout, providing an intimate look at his decades in rock.<\/p>\n On November 13, Coverdale took to social media<\/a> to announce his retirement. In his own words, he said it was finally \u201ctime for me to hang up my rock & roll platform shoes and skintight jeans.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cIt\u2019s time for me to call it a day. I love you dearly. I thank everyone who\u2019s assisted and supported me on this incredible journey: all the musicians, the crew, the fans, and the family. It\u2019s amazing. But it really is time for me to just enjoy my retirement, and I hope you can appreciate that.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to leading Whitesnake, known for classics like \u201cHere I Go Again\u201d and \u201cIs This Love,\u201d Coverdale also performed with Deep Purple and collaborated with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n He earned a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/a> in 2016 as part of Deep Purple. His last tour with Whitesnake was in 2022, cut short by a sinus infection.<\/p>\n While fans are sad to see him retire, many took to social media to express their gratitude. One wrote, \u201cThank you, David! We all love you forevermore,\u201d while another added, \u201cThank you, dearest David and Whitesnake for all you have given me throughout the years.\u201d<\/p>\n Others shared personal memories, like, \u201cWhat a privilege to have seen this legend live.
