US President, Donald Trump, could be hosting royalty at the
\nWhite House within months.<\/p>\n

New reports suggest that the US leader could have two very
\nimportant guests in early 2026, the year of a major
\nanniversary.<\/p>\n

King
\nCharles<\/a> and Queen Camilla are reported to be finalising details
\nof a trip to Washington to mark the 250th anniversary of the
\nDeclaration of Independence.<\/p>\n

The Sun reports that The King and Queen will make the trip,
\nperhaps as early as next spring, and will be hosted by Donald Trump<\/a> and his wife,
\nMelania.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s long been thought that senior members of the Royal Family
\nwill head to America for the anniversary. In 1976, the 200th
\nanniversary, Queen Elizabeth II visited the US and later made a
\nhigh profile mention of that trip and the anniversary in her
\nChristmas speech.<\/p>\n

There had been speculation that it would be the Prince and
\nPrincess of Wales taking up the US trip.<\/p>\n

However, with other reports suggesting a potential overseas tour
\nof Australia for them in 2026, and the huge importance that Donald
\nTrump has placed on his links with King Charles, it seems that it\u2019s
\nthe Monarch who will be making this prestigious trip.<\/p>\n

It would, in fact, be a State Visit, and it\u2019s most likely to
\nhappen in late April 2026, just a few months ahead of American
\nIndependence Day.<\/p>\n

However, King Charles will also take advice from his medical

\ntreatment for cancer, following his diagnosis in early 2024.<\/p>\n

The State Visit would be one of the most high profile events of
\nthe reign of King Charles III and would attract international
\nattention.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s expected that the trip would be centred in Washington.<\/p>\n

The next State Visit in King Charles\u201d diary comes in just a few
\nweeks\u2019 time. The King is set to welcome the President of Germany to
\nWindsor Castle on December 3 for a three day visit.<\/p>\n
