The Call the Midwife<\/a><\/em> Season 15 premiere date has been revealed. The 2025 Christmas specials<\/a> are coming first, but the new season won\u2019t be far behind in the new year.<\/p>\n Call the Midwife<\/em> Season 14 concluded on Sunday, May 18, bringing with it new weddings and new babies among the Nonnatus House community. The beloved series was renewed through Season 15<\/a> back in 2023 and for Season 16 in May 2025. But when does Call the Midwife\u00a0<\/em>Season 15 premiere in the U.S. on PBS<\/a>?<\/p>\n Here\u2019s everything we know about the upcoming episodes, as well as a prequel series and film!<\/p>\n Call the Midwife<\/em> Season 15 premieres on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 8\/7c on PBS, PBS.org<\/a>, and the PBS app, but there are a couple of dates to be aware of. Beginning on Thursday, January 22, fans can rewatch and binge Season 14 with PBS Passport. But their lodging plans at Nonnatus House got changed when a fire prompted a group of mothers and babies to stay with the nuns and nurses. Nancy and her daughter, Collette (Francesca Fullilove), were welcomed to stay with Miss Higgins (Georgie Glen). A wedding dress fitting prompted Nancy to reveal that she was 7 months pregnant. Nancy was nervous about how the nuns would feel about her being pregnant before she was married, and she also had yet to reveal the baby news to Collette. Nancy and Roger eventually told her the news, and she was ultimately excited to become a big sister.<\/p>\n Out on another job, Sister Veronica noticed the romantic connection between Rosalind (Natalie Quarry) and Cyril (Zephryn Taitte), whose blooming relationship was first teased in the Season 14 premiere. Trixie (Helen George), meanwhile, was on her way to America to be a bridesmaid in Matthew\u2019s friend\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n The morning after Nancy\u2019s hen night, she woke up feeling ill. Phyllis (Linda Bassett) worried that Nancy might\u2019ve been more than 7 months along in her pregnancy. Paula, the pregnant teen<\/a> whom Rosalind\u2019s been looking after all season, gave birth in the finale, and thankfully, her mother had a change of heart and welcomed her daughter back home. The baby was put up for adoption so Paula could return to her childhood. Nancy also gave birth to her and Roger\u2019s daughter, whom they named Melinda, in the back of an ambulance. Later, as their wedding ended, Cyril kissed Rosalind for the first time in the thrill of the moment, making for a happy ending for the Nonnatus House family.<\/p>\n BBC is making a\u00a0Call the Midwife<\/em> prequel<\/a> TV series set during World War II and showing a different side of Poplar during the Blitz. According to showrunner Heidi Thomas<\/a>, the series will \u201cdelve into the deeper past\u201d of Poplar, and there will be \u201csome familiar (if much younger) faces\u201d in the cast, meaning that fans will see current Call the Midwife<\/em> characters when they were younger and in a very formative period of their lives.<\/p>\n Thomas told BBC that she\u2019s been \u201cyearning to delve into the deeper past\u201d lives of these women in Poplar beyond what is seen throughout the show\u2019s setting of the 1950s-1970s. \u201cThe Blitz years in the East End were extraordinary \u2014 filled with loss, togetherness, courage, and joy,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The Call the Midwife<\/em> movie will feature the cast of the main series. set in 1972. The film will feature characters from the original series.
