When Arnold Schwarzegger paid a visit to the West Los Angeles VA on Veterans Day, he learned that they didn\u2019t have a place to watch movies because their theater was \u201cout of commission.\u201d<\/p>\n
So, \u201cThe Terminator\u201d star decided to do something about it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI told them I\u2019d set up a movie night, and I called my friends at\u00a0@skydance\u00a0and\u00a0@paramountpics\u00a0and asked if we could bring these real action heroes to their fancy screening room and show them \u2018Running Man,\u2019 since I\u2019d enjoyed it there. They said, \u2018of course,’\u201d he wrote on a Nov. 19 post on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n A week later, the former California governor then rented two buses to pick up everyone and bring them to the venue.<\/p>\n \u201cA week after hearing about the problem, we had a solution. Their heroes got a great night they deserved,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI wanted to share this because we all have power if we are willing to act. Most people would just post on social media: \u2018It\u2019s bogus, our vets can\u2019t watch movies at the VA.\u2019 That doesn\u2019t get them into a movie.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSure, most people can\u2019t get a screening room and buses. But you could buy one veteran a movie ticket and do more good than any social media post,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n He closed his post with this message to his 26.4 million followers: \u201cDo good, whenever you can. That\u2019s your greatest power, and don\u2019t let anyone take it away from you. Not government, not social media, not politicians.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you want to complain about something bad, say, \u2018What good can I do?’\u201d<\/p>\n The post caught the eye of \u201cRunning Man\u201d star Glen Powell, who took to the comments to praise the famed bodybuilder.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re one of a kind, Arnie.
