Secretly transporting drugs into an Ohio prison.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The book was one of three items whose pages 30-year-old Austin Siebert, of Maumee southwest of Toledo, has been convicted of spraying with narcotics and then shipping to Grafton Correctional Institution disguised as <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/impact\/topic\/amazon\">Amazon<\/a> orders. The others were a 2019 GRE Handbook and a separate piece of paper, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>On Nov. 18, U.S. District Judge Donald C. Nugent sentenced Siebert to more than a decade in prison for his role in the drug trafficking scheme.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Siebert and an inmate at the prison were caught in a recorded conversation discussing the shipment. He either didn\u2019t know or didn\u2019t care that a central theme of \u201cHillbilly Elegy\u201d is the impacts of narcotics addiction on Vance\u2019s family and the broader culture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cIs it Hillbilly?\u201d the inmate asks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about,\u201d Siebert replies, momentarily confused. Then, suddenly remembering, he says, \u201cOh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That\u2019s the book, the book I\u2019m reading.
