Former child actor John Eimen, known for his work on such well-known shows including \u201cLeave It to Beaver,\u201d \u201cPetticoat Junction,\u201d and \u201cThe Twilight Zone,\u201d passed away on Friday of prostate cancer while at his home in Mukilteo, Washington. <\/p>\n

He had been diagnosed in September, per Deadline<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Born on Oct. 2, 1949, in Chicago, Eimen moved with his family to Los Angeles in the 1950s. As a freckled-face red haired child, he was discovered by an agent who was friends with his first-grade teacher. <\/p>\n

He worked with a few of Hollywood\u2019s legendary performers, including Robert Stack, Jackie Coogan, Barbara Billingsley, and a pre-presidential Ronald Reagan. By the time he was 18, Eimen had numberous screen credits.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s perhaps most famous for his debut role, where Eimen played a classmate of Theodore Cleaver in the first episode of \u201cLeave It to Beaver.\u201d He went on to make multiple appearances in the series during its 1957-63 run. <\/p>\n

Often billed as Johnny Eimen, he also appeared in episodes of such popular TV shows as \u201cWagon Train,\u201d \u201cThe Untouchables,\u201d \u201cHave Gun \u2013 Will Travel\u201d and \u201cGeneral Electric Theater\u201d from 1958-1962. <\/p>\n

He also appeared in a large role as Cadet Monk Roberts on the first season of \u201cMcKeever and the Colonel.\u201d His other TV credits include guest shots on \u201cGoing My Way,\u201d \u201cThe Lloyd Bridges Show,\u201d \u201cAngel,\u201d \u201cBachelor Father,\u201d \u201cThe Rebel,\u201d \u201cWendy and Me.\u201d <\/p>\n

When his Hollywood career dwindled, he transitioned to a music career as a singer-songwriter and guitarist. <\/p>\n

After moving to Japan, he spent a decade teaching English and worked as a flight attendant for more than two decades, according to Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Midori, two adult sons, Daniel and Chris, and grandsons Lucas and Oliver. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
