<\/story-highlights> Christmas pageants and parades, train displays, music concerts and more are scheduled across Beaver and Lawrence counties to celebrate the 2025 Christmas season. There are also some opportunities to share the spirit of Christmas with those in the community who need some holiday cheer.<\/p>\n Here are some of the events going on in the area this year; to add an event to this list, send the information by email to timesnews@timesonline.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n Turn the lights on: <\/strong>Get into the Christmas spirit with these Beaver, Lawrence county tree lighting events<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n Riverside Christmas Angel Drive<\/strong> is going on through Dec. 8 in Franklin Township. Collecting personal care items, hygiene products, games, socks, blankets, toys, makeup and gift cards for Riverside families in need. Donations can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Franklin Township Building, 897 Route 288, or from 6-8 p.m. on Mondays at the Frisco Fire Department, 808 Old Zelienople Road.<\/p>\n Winter Wonderland Tours<\/a><\/strong> will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from now to Dec. 21 at Old Economy Village, 1401 Church St. in Ambridge. Tour the 18th-century village decorated for Christmas and learn about the history of the Harmony Society<\/a>. Closed on Nov. 27 and 28.<\/p>\n 3RK Winter Wonderland<\/strong> from Nov. 28 to Jan. 5 at Three Rivers Karting Entertainment Park, 541 Avenue B, Suite 10 in Leetsdale. Race go-karts through a holiday-themed course<\/a> with 50 different decorated trees, light displays and holiday music. Friday and Saturday nights after 8, the lights go out and the Cosmic LED lights go on for a unique nighttime racing experience. Open hours and more information are posted online.<\/p>\n Beaver County Model Railroad Christmas Open House<\/strong> will be held from 12-5 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Beaver County Model Railroad and Historical Society<\/a>, 416 Sixth St. in Monaca. The HO-scale model railroad train display is free and open to the public; donations are greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n Boar’s Head Festival<\/strong> takes place at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 325 Spring Ave. in Ellwood City. The Board’s Head Festival is a medieval pageant<\/a> featuring over 100 costumed characters, a full orchestra, and a choir, celebrating the birth of Christ and the triumph of good over evil. No tickets are necessary, and the doors open 30 minutes before the event.<\/p>\n Ellwood City Area Civic Chorale<\/strong> will perform its Christmas concert at 6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the First United Methodist Church, 416 Crescent Ave. in Ellwood City. No admission is charged for the concert but a goodwill offering may be taken.<\/p>\n The 10th annual Lawrence County Festival of Trees<\/a><\/strong> takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29 at the Neshannock Township School District, 3834 Mitchell Road. This two-day event features displays of fully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths, along with live entertainment, gingerbread houses, food, and holiday vendors. Trees and wreaths are to be raffled at the close of the event. An admission fee is charged for anyone over 10 years of age; seniors receive a discount, and children aged 10 and under are free.<\/p>\n Beaver County Model Railroad Christmas Open House<\/strong> will be held from 12-5 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 6 at the Beaver County Model Railroad and Historical Society<\/a>, 416 Sixth St. in Monaca. HO-scale model railroad train display is free and open to the public; donations are greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n Divine Redeemer Parish<\/strong> will present a Live Nativity<\/strong> from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. James Church, 200 Walnut St., during Sewickley’s Light Up Night event. Live nativity, carol singing and a bonfire. Serving soup and hot dogs, there will be an Advent cookie table for decorating your own cookies and also a table of handcrafted items from the Holy Land to purchase.<\/p>\n Christmas in Coraopolis<\/strong> celebration takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at VFW Post No. 402, 412 Mulberry St. Activities planned include<\/a> the annual cookie sale, children’s activities, writing letters to Santa, free family holiday photos and a visit from Santa Claus.<\/p>\n The Beaver Area Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> has two events scheduled Dec. 6, Cookie and Holiday House tours<\/strong><\/a>. The cookie tour takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and participants will sample homemade cookies as they visit various businesses around downtown Beaver and collect cookie recipes. The Holiday House tour is from 4-8 p.m. and features tours of 8 historic homes in downtown Beaver, decorated for the holidays. Samples from local restaurants will be offered as well. Tickets for both holiday events can be purchased online at the Eventbrite link<\/a>.<\/p>\n Christmas in the Village<\/strong> takes place from 2-9 p.m. Dec. 6 at Old Economy Village<\/a>, 1401 Church St. in Ambridge. Experience a 19th-century Christmas with lighted cobblestone streets, historic buildings, music, craft demonstrations, a holiday train display and activities for the kids. Holiday vendors will have items for sale and food items can be purchased while on-site. There is an admission cost for adults, reduced prices for youth age 3-11 and seniors age 65 and older. Admission is free for children under 3 years of age, active duty military and Friends of Old Economy Village members.<\/p>\n Ellwood City Christmas Parade<\/a><\/strong> begins at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 and proceeds from Fourth to Eighth streets. Call the chamber office at 724-758-5501 to participate in the parade.<\/p>\n Christmas in Chippewa<\/a><\/strong> from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 6 at Wright Fields at Veterans Park, 3848 37th St. Extension in Beaver Falls. This walk-through Christmas celebration is free to all, with light displays, food trucks, holiday vendors, mini golf, synthetic ice skating, kids activities, a gingerbread competition and visits with Santa. A presentation of the Christmas story from the Bible will be given every 20 minutes, with the last one starting at 7:20 p.m., and live animals are part of the cast. Authentic German food will be served from 3-7:30 p.m. in the dining room and Christmas cookies will be available to purchase. The historic church building will also be open to the public for tours from 2-7:20 p.m.<\/p>\n The New Brighton Public Library’s annual Wassail Walk<\/strong> <\/a>takes place from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 6 in downtown New Brighton. Walk around downtown to sample mulled wines, ciders and holiday appetizers at local businesses and restaurants. Purchase a Wassail Walk ticket before Dec. 1 and receive one free strip of tickets for the basket auction at check-in. Tickets can be purchased in person at the library or online.<\/p>\n The Beaver County Symphonic Wind Ensemble<\/strong><\/a> will perform its “Sounds of the Season” holiday concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Ambridge Area High School Auditorium, 901 Duss Ave. For admission, bring a non-perishable food item for the Little Free Pantry at Aliquippa HOP Lutheran Church. Collect hand-crafted ornaments as you visit local businesses, shop for holiday gifts and vote for your favorite holiday window display.<\/p>\n Drive-through Live Nativity<\/strong> from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13 at Mount Carmel Evangelical Presbyterian Church<\/a>, 2720 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa. Event is free, but donations will be accepted for local missions. Join them for refreshments inside the church.<\/p>\n The Nutcracker ballet<\/strong> will be performed Dec. 12-14 at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center<\/a>, 1 Lincoln Park in Midland. Watch as young Clara’s dream on Christmas Eve comes to life in this much-loved holiday ballet. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 14. Shop for the holidays from local businesses and vendors and grab something to eat from one of many food trucks scheduled to participate. The parade starts at 6 p.m., with floats, bands and more. Dress in your best holiday clothing.<\/p>\n Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce Ugly Sweater 5K Fun Run<\/strong> starts at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13 near Helling Stadium. This annual family-friendly race has a new route this year that includes the Christmas in the Park light display in Ewing Park. The route map and registration form<\/a> are posted online.<\/p>\n The Daugherty Township Volunteer Fire Department<\/strong> is having a “stuff a fire truck” toy drive <\/a>on Dec. 13 to benefit children in the community. Donations of new, unwrapped toys, gift cards and money will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the fire department, 4198 Marion Hill Road in New Brighton.<\/p>\n The Beaver Valley Choral Society<\/a><\/strong> will present its Advent concert at 4 p.m. Dec. 13 at the New Brighton Methodist Church, 1033 Sixth Ave. in New Brighton.
