It\u2019s that time of year \u2014 beyond jingle bells and holiday carols, there\u2019s another moment the chronically-online have been waiting for: Spotify Wrapped <\/a>season.<\/p>\n
The yearly tradition is an annual campaign that delivers personalized, shareable summaries of a user’s listening habits over the past year, including top artists, songs, genres, and total listening time. User from all over world, and celebrities alike, typically participate by sharing their Spotify wrapped list to social media.<\/p>\n

When is Spotify wrapped released?<\/h2>\n
Spotify has not announced when 2025 Wrapped will be released but it has begun to tell users to update the app to “experience 2025 Wrapped at its best,” the streaming service’s website states.<\/a><\/p>\n
Past releases have come in late November or early December, which means this year\u2019s drop is likely just weeks away.<\/p>\n

When does Spotify stop counting music for Wrapped?<\/h2>\n
When rumors began swirling online that Spotify stops tracking listening data on Halloween, the platform quickly debunked the claim, confirming that Wrapped continues to collect user data beyond Oct. 31.<\/p>\n
In a 2024 social media post<\/a>, Spotify shared a Halloween-themed graphic featuring a jack-o’-lantern filled with candy and the message: “Spotify Wrapped doesn’t stop counting on October 31st.”<\/p>\n
While the exact cutoff date isn’t known, Molly Holder, Spotify\u2019s senior director of product for personalization, told Mashable in 2024<\/a> that the company aims to capture as much of the year\u2019s listening as possible.<\/p>\n
“We start at the beginning of January with all of your listening that begins right then at the beginning of the year, and it goes all the way through collecting data up until a few weeks before we launch the Wrapped product,” Holder said.<\/p>\n
