Actress Tara Reid was recently hospitalized while she was staying at a hotel outside of Chicago.<\/p>\n

According to NBC News,<\/a> an ambulance arrived at a DoubleTree hotel in Rosemont after getting a call about a sick person at 12:39 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

Video taken at the scene showed the dazed actress confused and slurring her words as some people tried to get her into a wheelchair. Once paramedics arrived, she was taken to a hospital in a stretcher. <\/p>\n

Reid, however, told TMZ <\/a>that she believed someone drugged her drink.<\/p>\n

She told the outlet that she went down to the hotel bar, ordered a glass of wine and then went outside to smoke a cigarette. <\/p>\n

When she came back inside, her drink had been covered with a napkin, which she said she didn\u2019t put there. She added that after having some of the wine, she went unconscious and didn\u2019t wake up until she was in the hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cTara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with,\u201d Reid\u2019s representative said in a statement sent to People.<\/a> \u201cShe is cooperating fully with the investigation. Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time. She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, police told People that Reid has not filed a report yet.<\/p>\n

Reid is best known for playing Vicky Lathum in the \u201cAmerican Pie\u201d series of movies. Her other notable roles include \u201cThe Big Lebowski,\u201d \u201cJosie and the Pussycats,\u201d \u201cCruel Intentions\u201d and the \u201cSharknado\u201d series of TV movies. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
