House Speaker Mike Johnson<\/a>\u2019s fealty to President Donald Trump<\/a> perhaps isn\u2019t embarrassing enough.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Now he\u2019s giving his critics something else to chew on \u2015 a wince-inducing stab at trying to be cool on Katie Miller<\/a>\u2019s podcast. (Watch the video below.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n In a preview shared Monday by Miller \u2015 a former Trump administration spokesperson who\u2019s married to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller \u2015 she asked Johnson, \u201cYou know who Jelly Roll is?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Johnson might have gone with a simple affirmative. Instead, the Louisiana Republican indignantly said, \u201cDo I know,\u201d and waved a Hawaiian \u201cshaka,\u201d or \u201chang loose,\u201d sign<\/a> with just the thumbs and pinkies extended. (One of his hands, however, had three fingers up.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYes, we have selfies together,\u201d Johnson continued, referring to a photo Johnson took<\/a> with the rapper-singer and Kid Rock at a UFC event in November 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Johnson\u2019s achingly cringe moment should come as no surprise. The terminally unhip lawmaker joined the right-wing echo chamber in criticizing the NFL\u2019s choice of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n His idea for an alternative? <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIn my view, you would have Lee Greenwood<\/a> or role models doing that,\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Greenwood, 83, is perhaps best known these days for playing \u201cGod Bless the U.S.A.\u201d at events for Trump.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Johnson was joined in the interview by his wife, Kelly, who in a snippet held forth on how men\u2019s brains are like \u201cwaffles\u201d with \u201clittle compartments.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n![\"No,](\"https:\/\/img.huffingtonpost.com\/asset\/6925938c220000f60d60badd.png?ops=scalefit_720_noupscale&format=webp)
