A poll of 2,000 adults found 30% know just as much about American pop culture as they do their own. According to the research, 40% of the information they consume every day comes from across the pond \u2013 with 23% preferring <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/taylor-swift\" target=\"_blank\">Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/a> music to Dua Lipa\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">In addition, almost one in 10 know more about actress <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/life-style\/food\/2010389\/i-ate-like-zendaya-week\" target=\"_blank\">Zendaya<\/a> and actor Tom Holland\u2019s relationship than the <a target=\"_blank\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/royal\" target=\"_blank\">Royal family<\/a> \u2013 rising to 29% for 18- to 24-year-olds. And 34% of the younger age group are more knowledgeable about the Kardashians than <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/eastenders\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\">EastEnders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>A spokesperson from Lottoland.co.uk, which commissioned the survey to complement its US \u00a3520 million Powerball draw, said: \u201cThere is so much interesting US culture at our fingertips to consume.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom TV, film and music to food and drink, the US has no shortage of things that have made it to the UK. Even politics is a hot topic of conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The research found 18% watch more American TV than English options \u2013 with drama, comedy and crime being the favourite US genres.<\/p>\n<p>As for music from the United States, pop, rock and country top the charts with 88% claiming to enjoy some sort of American culture in their British life.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from TV and music, Brits also enjoy food (37%), books (24%) and sports (17%) from across the pond. While 15% like to celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK and one in 10 mark Independence Day on 4th July.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, it was discovered that <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/netflix\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\">Netflix<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/hollywood\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\">Hollywood<\/a> films and Coca-Cola were the top things to have come out of America, followed by Rock and Roll, Disneyland and instant coffee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The spokesperson from Lottoland.co.uk added: \u201cIt\u2019s great to see a sharing of cultures between different nations.
