YouTuber Jan Zimmermann<\/strong> has died at age 27.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram<\/a> post confirming his death, Zimmermann\u2019s family members shared that he died \u201csuddenly and unexpectedly\u201d from an epileptic seizure on November 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere [are] no words to describe the pain we are feeling, but we would like to thank you for your condolences,\u201d his family wrote in a statement, translated to English. \u201cWe currently don\u2019t feel able to say more about this. Please beware of any further messages in this regard.\u201d<\/p>\n

The message continued, \u201cHis humor, his honesty and his big heart were gifts he shared with everyone. He gave courage to people who\u2019ve never met him personally and showed them that even on difficult days, you can walk through life with love and openness. Forever loved, forever forgotten, we let you go, but never gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The influencer was found \u201clifeless\u201d in her home on Wednesday, October 1, Honduran news channel HCH Televisi\u00f3n Digital reported. Rivas had epilepsy, which her family believes played a role in her death, local news outlets reported. She was on permanent medication for the condition, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alongside the statement, the family shared a black-and-white photo of Zimmermann smiling at the camera.<\/p>\n

Zimmermann was found dead in his apartment<\/a> on November 18, police reportedly told German newspaper Bild<\/em>. An autopsy determined that there was \u201cno evidence of foul play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zimmermann rose to online fame as one-half of the YouTube channel Gewitter im Kopf, which had more than 2 million subscribers<\/a>. Through their channel, Zimmermann and friend Tim Lehmann<\/strong> shared videos about living with Tourette syndrome.<\/p>\n

Zimmermann shared his last post via Instagram on November 17, one day before he died. Lehmann starred in the clip with him, with the caption reading, \u201cBest friend is usually right.\u201d<\/p>\n

More than two years before his death, Zimmermann shared his decision to step back from creating content on YouTube. (He later returned.)<\/p>\n
