The deal has reportedly been designed to introduce a licensed model into Suno\u2019s offerings. Crucially, it seems artists will have to opt in to the system. They will retain \u201cfull control\u201d of their music, their likeness, and other copyright details, while also overseeing how AI uses that likeness.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" id=\"elk-seasonal\" data-url=\"\" href=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<aside data-block-type=\"embed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" class=\"hawk-root\"\/>\n<p id=\"2df3eecc-44f1-4b8f-b4ec-482da9b97a6f-2\">&#8220;Artists and songwriters will have full control over whether and how their names, images, likenesses, voices and compositions are used in new AI-generated music,&#8221; said Warners in a statement. As part of the package, it has also been reported that Suno will also acquire the concert listings platform Songkick.<\/p>\n<p>The deal \u2013 together with the one Warners inked last week with Udio and the partnership all three majors announced with AI start-up Klay \u2013 represents an attempt by the record industry to get on top of the proliferation of AI \u2018slop\u2019 which is an increasing problem clogging up streaming platforms.
