The venue is set to be developed at the former location of the Cursus Kĕmē brewery and the development team has proposed the partial closure of Mulvaney Street. The location at 155 Thompson St. sits along the Swannanoa River and was significantly flooded by Tropical Storm Helene, destroying Cursus Kĕmē. The week of Nov. 17 it was reviewed by both the city of Asheville’s Technical Review and Design Review committees.

<media-image image-set="https://www.gannett-cdn.com/authoring/authoring-images/2025/10/20/PASH/86799591007-1029-orange-2.jpg bestCrop, https://www.gannett-cdn.com/authoring/authoring-images/2025/10/20/PASH/86799591007-1029-orange-2.jpg?crop=1939,1454,x330,y0 4:3, https://www.gannett-cdn.com/authoring/authoring-images/2025/10/20/PASH/86799591007-1029-orange-2.jpg?crop=1091,1454,x754,y0 3:4, https://www.gannett-cdn.com/authoring/authoring-images/2025/10/20/PASH/86799591007-1029-orange-2.jpg?crop=2587,1454,x6,y0 16:9" image-alt="" credit="Josh Bell / Asheville Citizen Times" caption="The vacant lot at 155 Thompson St. in Asheville, seen Oct. 20, 2025, sits at the former site of Brouwerïj Cursus Kĕmē, which was destroyed by Tropical Storm Helene.
