Telling her fans the news Ruth said she couldn’t go upstairs. “I’ve just had my second below-knee amputation. So, unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me,” she said.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Her first amputation occurred when she was 23. She had her right leg amputated below the knee when she was 23 after an injury sustained playing football when she was 15 failed to heal correctly. The issue lead to years of chronic pain and multiple surgeries.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">She revealed her second amputation was required in a similar way, with her leg being removed below the knee. She explained in her TikTok that she decided to have her other leg amputated as she had already had all of her toes removed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">She said in an interview that she had no toes and compared her foot to looking “like a little hamburger”.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Ruth admitted the surgery was needed to increase her quality of life.
