{"id":2180080,"date":"2025-11-28T17:46:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T17:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2180080"},"modified":"2025-11-28T17:46:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T17:46:16","slug":"ontarios-newest-entertainment-district-puts-spotlight-on-toyota-arena-daily-bulletin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/ontarios-newest-entertainment-district-puts-spotlight-on-toyota-arena-daily-bulletin\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario\u2019s newest entertainment district puts spotlight on Toyota Arena \u2013 Daily Bulletin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Luxury apartments, restaurants and shops are expected to transform the area around the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2019\/06\/11\/ontarios-citizens-business-bank-arena-has-a-new-name-toyota-arena\/\">Toyota Arena<\/a> by the end of next year, expanding <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/location\/california\/los-angeles-county\/inland-empire\/ontario\/\">Ontario<\/a>\u2018s housing and entertainment options.<\/p>\n<p>The Ontario City Council\u2019s recent approval of the arena-focused entertainment district comes on the heels of the groundbreaking for the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2025\/09\/18\/ontarios-minor-league-baseball-team-lands-new-name-and-un-bee-lievable-mascot\/\">Ontario Sports Empire<\/a>, a sports and entertainment district anchored by a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2025\/09\/03\/ontario-baseball-stadium-is-ready-for-takeoff-with-ont-partnership\/\">Dodgers-affiliate minor league baseball stadium<\/a> expected to open in April 2026.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5196842\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone size-article_inline\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Toyota Arena is located in Ontario. (Staff file photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The council approved the first phase of the $25 million <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ontariothinksbusiness.com\/develop-ontario\/district-information\/arena-district\">Arena District<\/a> project at its Nov. 18 meeting. The three-phase<span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2018\/06\/09\/construction-starts-on-new-hotel-in-ontario-near-citizens-business-bank-arena\/\">project<\/a> is managed by Adept, a Pasadena-based developer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we\u2019re trying to do now is just create a location for a hub of activity, that the city visionaries kind of had established way back in the \u201990s, when they started doing all of this work,\u201d\u00a0Robert Montano, the Adept project lead, said in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Current planning for the district began in 2022, according to city officials. (Courtesy of Adept Development)\n<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\"><span>Expand<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Construction\u00a0began in January 2025, according to Montano, and is expected to continue with the next part of phase one in January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Phase one of the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2017\/03\/24\/projects-propose-restaurant-row-hip-urban-feel-for-land-near-ontario-arena\/\">project<\/a> is slated for completion by the end of 2026, according to Ochoa. Phase two will include additional residential units and retail space, and there are plans to build a 2,500-seat performing arts theater that could be used for anything from live theater performances to TED talks, Ochoa said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the city and developer, the project will have a more modern feel as opposed to the more traditional downtown or orchard themed-projects seen in other parts of the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom an architectural aesthetic, we are trying to differentiate ourselves from what has been delivered to the market historically,\u201d Montano said.<\/p>\n<p>The city is hoping to attract luxury retailers to the district, following the trend in nearby cities such as Rancho Cucamonga, which recently gained a Chanel store and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2025\/11\/06\/fogo-de-chao-brings-its-brazilian-churrasco-to-rancho-cucamonga\/\">Fogo de Ch\u00e3o<\/a> restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Though he declined to offer specifics, Ochoa said the city is in talks with prospective tenants for the Ontario project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are ankle deep in negotiations with any number of players that we aspire to, that add instant credibility,\u201d Ochoa said. \u201cThere is a wide variety of high-profile interest (in the project).\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related left\"\/>\n<p>City officials hope the district brings the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybulletin.com\/2025\/10\/09\/dodgers-minor-league-team-lands-new-store-in-downtown-ontario\/\">city<\/a> and region a much-desired entertainment addition that has been lacking, Ochoa said.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota Arena, which opened in 2008, is one of the largest entertainment venues in the Inland Empire, and plays host to concerts, sporting and community events and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea of being able to watch live music and have something good to eat, grab a drink with friends, is something I think that we as a region have missed for many years,\u201d Ochoa said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em> \u2018 The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> \u2018 Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.dailybulletin.com \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Luxury apartments, restaurants and shops are expected to transform the area around the\u00a0Toyota Arena by the end of next year, expanding Ontario\u2018s housing and entertainment options.
