Meghan Markle is once again under fire for using her royal title in a high-profile setting, despite no longer serving as a member of the Royals.<\/p>\n

The controversy started after Markle<\/a> appeared in Harper\u2019s Bazaar and was introduced to the magazine\u2019s Reporter as “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.” The interview follows questions about Prince Harry<\/a>, 41, and Markle’s complex holiday plans.<\/p>\n

Journalist Kaitlyn Greenidge described the moment, saying a house manager formally made the announcement as Markle, 44, entered a New York filming location<\/a> ahead of their meeting.<\/p>\n

Public relations strategist Renae Smith called the move a damaging decision.<\/p>\n

“From a PR perspective, it is such a bad idea,” Smith told The Express<\/a>. “It is confusing, it is provocative in the wrong way and it puts her straight back beneath the royal shadow she always bloody insists she wants to get away from.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Yes, she absolutely contradicts herself. She keeps saying she wants distance from the royal world, and then she recreates the most iconic imagery of it,” she said.<\/p>\n
