Your new album\u00a0\u201810 Years Later<\/em>\u2018 just dropped. How do you perceive your music compared to your first release?<\/h2>\n
\n

\u201cMy music today has way more intention, polish, and strategy behind\u00a0it,\u00a0which sometimes delays\u00a0future releases because I overthink more so about the\u00a0algorithm . When I first started, I was still figuring out my sound, my process, and my identity, so everything I was recording was overly fun and organic with\u00a0zero marketing dollars.\u00a010 Years Later<\/em>\u00a0shows the result of a decade of growth \u2014 the storytelling is sharper, the production is cleaner, and I\u2019m fully tapped into who I am as an artist. I\u2019m not guessing anymore. I know the direction I\u2019m heading in as an independent major.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Your sound is cohesive and has a distinct identity \u2014 how long did it take to create?<\/h2>\n
\n

\u201cThis album took about a year and a half from the first idea to the final master. I record everything in my home studio, so I let the music breathe. I\u2019ll write, step away for a week or two, come back with new ears, and shape the sound slowly. That\u2019s why it feels cohesive \u2014 I wasn\u2019t rushing anything. I built a world and lived in it until it was complete.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What was the biggest issue you faced?<\/h2>\n
\n

\u201cThe biggest challenge was mixing such a layered project in the box. I wanted it to have that early-2000s analog weight without actually running it through hardware. Getting the low end to feel warm and the top end to feel rounded was a process. It pushed my engineering skills, but it made the album better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Your latest single \u2018I Just Wanna Know<\/em>\u2018 was inspired by a conversation with your girlfriend. What other elements of the album were taken from real-life scenarios?<\/h2>\n
\n

\u201cA lot of the album is rooted in real life. \u201cStay Solid\u201d came from dealing with people switching up as soon as things started moving for me. \u201cNo Emotions In Business\u201d reflects the grind of balancing music, investments, and relationships.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
