The next morning, he asked her if she had any regrets, referring to the lovemaking. \u201cNo,\u201d Carly responded as she snuggled up to her daughter\u2019s WSB boss. \u201cI made my choice, and I\u2019m sticking to it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">As far as soap opera subtext goes, Wright walked that line <em>perfectly<\/em>. That allows Wright to play her character as somewhat betrayed, but Jack doesn\u2019t know how deep the hurt runs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI just need to remember that you had a life before we started seeing each other, and it\u2019s going to be up to both of us to figure out how we fit together,\u201d Carly shared with Jack, as she chose her words carefully.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Carly\u2019s not made of stone. She couldn\u2019t help but let on that <em>something<\/em> was troubling her, but she\u2019s still able to think fast on her feet to keep Jack at bay. He probed to see what was up. \u201cIt\u2019s Josslyn,\u201d Carly replied, hastening to add that her concern was that her daughter was encouraging Lucas (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/van-hansis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Van Hansis;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Van Hansis<\/a>) to move into Wyndemere. She came up with something plausible that Jack would believe without giving away what her uneasiness was fully about.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Jack urged Carly to make peace with both Lucas and Josslyn and let things play out. \u201cPatience is not my strong suit,\u201d a frustrated Carly announced. \u201cBut I can see how waiting them out would work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Again, this exchange was two-fold. The real situation that Carly\u2019s waiting out is the one she has with Jack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The WSB boss told Carly he knew how much of a special bond there is between Carly and Joss. \u201cThank you,\u201d Carly told Jack. \u201cIt means so much to me that you understand how important my daughter is to me.\u201d (Dude, you are <em>so<\/em> going to find out how much Carly truly means this!)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The couple kissed, but their moment was interrupted by Jack\u2019s phone. As he stepped away, Wright was able to have Carly drop the fa\u00e7ade of pretending to care so much about him. Jack said he wouldn\u2019t be able to stay for breakfast, excusing himself from the room. Only then, when Carly was alone, did she let out a frustrated sigh as if to indicate she couldn\u2019t believe that she was having to go through this charade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Later, outside General Hospital, Carly actually did take Jack\u2019s advice and apologized to Josslyn. She said she couldn\u2019t stop worrying about Lucas and his relationship with Marcus (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/adrian-anchondo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Adrian Anchondo;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Adrian Anchondo<\/a>) and his proximity to Jenz Sidwell (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/carlo-rota\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Carlo Rota;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Carlo Rota<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While Carly apologized to Joss for how she handled her feelings about Lucas, she circled back on the intent \u2014 Lucas shouldn\u2019t be around someone as dangerous as Sidwell. Carly\u2019s giving Josslyn a chance to explain her true reasons for supporting Lucas\u2019s move to Wyndemere. For now, both Joss and Jack are keeping her in the dark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Wright is doing a masterful job of playing Carly\u2019s cards close to her vest while at the same time expressing her concerns so that no one gets suspicious.
