Ed Sheeran<\/a>\u00a0appears to bring the struggles in his seven-year marriage to Cherry Seaborn<\/a>\u00a0to light in the deluxe version of his album Play<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Originally released in September, the latest version includes ’14 songs that aren’t on the main album,’ including multiple songs referencing the 34-year-old singer’s relationship.<\/p>\n

The song Problems depicts the strain his three-year Mathematics World Tour put on his family life. Ed and Cherry, 33, are parents to\u00a0Lyra, five, and Jupiter, three.<\/p>\n

‘Flowers in our garden are dying \/ When did the water run dry? Who can tell? But you want the truth, we’re not fine,’ he croons, per Page Six<\/a>. ‘We got problems, and we don’t know how to solve them.’<\/p>\n

There’s also War Game, in which the music artist writes, ‘Every day we feel deflated \/ Tryna roll with all the changes \/ Reality of what we’ve created.<\/p>\n

‘There’s no one above or below you, you are all I want \/ But I feel that it’s not enough, to just offer you my love.’<\/p>\n

Fatherhood comes up in Regrets, with Ed expressing disappointment over spending time away from his daughters.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘You’re too young to understand that Daddy’s coming home \/ Every time I leave the house, you think I’m forever gone \/ Guess it’s from the hundred calls, goodnights on the telephone \/ See this tour, I’ve gotta get it done, but why though?’<\/p>\n

He also candidly sings, ‘Missed out on so much \/ I really need to make it up.’<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail has reached out to Sheeran’s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n

Ed and Cherry grew up together in the same town in Suffolk, England.<\/p>\n

They began dating in 2015 and quietly tied the knot in a small ceremony in late 2018, but it wasn’t until July 2019 that the pop star confirmed the marriage.<\/p>\n

He promoted his updated album via Instagram on Saturday, sharing a slew of behind-the-scenes Polaroid photos from his studio sessions.<\/p>\n

Ed wrote in a caption, ‘Play super deluxe out now. It was so hard to choose the songs for this album, it was such a vast creative experience, but going to India brought it all together.’<\/p>\n

‘There’s 14 songs that aren’t on the main album, which is kind of an album in itself, so I hope you have fun digging into them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘They’re different themes, genres, collaborators, but all within the Play sphere. When I make albums I deep dive into as much as I can and whittle down, but sometimes you love some songs so much they have to see the light of day.’<\/p>\n

The entertainer added, ‘This is what this deluxe is. 2025 is coming to an end now, it was the year of Play for me. Next year we start the Loop tour and I’ll be finishing whatever is next.\u00a0<\/p>\n
